With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Melba Lucille Woods of Larned, Kansas, born in Saint John, Kansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 13, 2024 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Melba Lucille leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles W. Schmidt and Anna C. Schmer Schmidt; her spouse Dale Woods; and her brothers, Warren Schmidt, Raymond Schmidt and Edward Schmidt. She is also survived by her loving family and her dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First Christian Church or Santa Fe Trail Center in care of Beckwith Mortuary, PO Box 477, Larned, Kansas 67550.
