It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Matthew Ernsting (Larned, Kansas), who passed away on November 9, 2019, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Marlene Ernsting of Ellinwood; his children, Levi Ernsting of Shelton, Rebeka Watson of Edinborough and Scotland; his brothers, Guy Ernsting of Ellinwood and Andrew Ernsting of Overland Park, Kansas.; and his father William Ernsting. He was also cherished by five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Welcome Inn Senior Center 113 W 4th St, Larned, KS, 67550.

“Matthew Ernsting and I worked together at Larned State Security Hospital for maybe 10 years until over 20 years ago he left to work for the State of Kansas Department of Transportation. He and is second wife lived down the street from me here in Pawnee Rock. He did have a hefty laugh.”
