She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter B Rumsey and Maud Romig Rumsey; her brothers, Walter Rumsey and Reed Rumsey; and her son John David Smith.
She is survived by: her son Richard Vance Smith (Susan). She is also survived by six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a sister-in-law.
Memorials may be given to the Santa Fe Trail Center or the First Presbyterian Church in care of Beckwith Mortuary, PO Box 477, Larned, Kansas 67550.
