He was predeceased by: his father Vincent Saavedra; and his sisters, Lupe Saavedra and Maria Gomez. He is survived by: his mother Maria I. Elizondo Saavedra; his children, Jorge Saavedra Jr., Rachel Saavedra and Kayle Saavedra Starlee Saavedra; his significant other Amber Clark of Larned; and his siblings, Sergio Saavedra, Ileana Saavedra and Marcela Saavedra.
