She was predeceased by: her parents, Otha Paul "Pete" (Pete) and Ollie Mae Bass (Williamson) of Martinsville, Texas; and her sisters, Peggy June Bass and Jo Ann Pleasant (Bass) of Nacogdoches, Texas.. She is survived by: her husband Duane; her daughters, Laura Batson (Bryan) of Lansing, Kansas and Karla Wynia (Dan) of Midland, Michigan.; her grandchildren, Will Batson of Olathe, Kansas, Megan Bryant (Nate) of Lawton, Oklahoma, Ethan, Walker and Bronson Wynia of Midland, Michigan.; and her sister Gay Thompson of Nacogdoches, Texas. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (1410 155th St, Basehor, KS 66007). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, December 17th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society or the First Baptist Church Basehor.
