She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul C. and Mary L. Brees (Fisher); and her former husband Gene Gustafson. She is survived by: her children, Todd Ruge (Cari) and Heather Beck (Mike); her stepchildren, Drew Gustafson (Pam), Amy Lomu (David), Bob Gustafson, Sandy Cromer and Mary Tenopir (Pat); her sister Katie Brown; her grandchildren, Sara (Will), Jeff, Braden, Kellen, Blake, Clayton, Bailey, Riley, Hallie, Coy, Olivia, Victoria, Chris, Zack and Reagan; and her great grandchildren, Aria, Aurora, Addison, John and Genevieve.
