He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Meredith and Norma Meredith (Carter). He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Meredith (Richard); his children, David L. Meredith, Jr. (Abbi) of Easton, KS and Gale L. Myers (Dustan) of Easton, KS; his grandchildren, Brandon Darnell, Jeffery Hearne, David Lee Meredith, III, Christopher Jennings, Devan Myers, Hannah Hearne (Loren), Allison Meredith and Leighann Jennings (Tanner Thoos); and his sister Mary Scott (Paul) of Loveland, CO. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
