It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steve Jacobus Sr. of Lakin, Kansas, born in Sedan, Kansas, who passed away on April 29, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Marion and Emma "Ines" Jacobus; his wife Louise May Russell; his children, Steven Jacobus, Jr. and Jackie Ann Atkinson; his grandson Wayne Schlitter; and his brother Roy Jacobus.
He is survived by: his son Daniel Jacobus (Jody) of Lakin; his grandchildren, Amanda Morris (Rhett) of Yuma, Coloardo, Deeanna Jacobus of Lamar, David Jacobus of Columbus, Rebekah Samp (Ben) of Lincoln, Hunter Morrison of La Junta and Jessica Lee of Gresham; and his sister-in-law Neva Jacobus of Scott City. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
