Shirley Ann Young Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 17, 2025, at the age of 88, Shirley Ann Young of Lakin, Kansas, born in Ulysses, Kansas passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shirley Ann Young to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Eveleigh and Ada Eveleigh (Clark); her brothers, Floyd, Clyde and Leon Eveleigh; and her husband Clarence Young.
She is survived by: her children, Gary L., Chris Gilbert (Pruitt) of Lakin, KS, Jim, Rhonda Gilbert (Roetzer) of Garden City, KS, Bobbie (Young), Kirk Newport of Lakin, KS, Carrie (Young) and Jeff Gnagy of Wichita, KS. She is also survived by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Garnand Funeral Home (508 N Main St, Lakin, KS 67860). A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Lakin Cemetery (1716 US-50, Lakin, KS 67860).
Family suggests memorials be given to Kearny County Senior Center in care of the funeral home.
