She was predeceased by: her parents, Leland Waechter and Della Waechter (Elliott); her spouse Merle Heeke; her son Dennis Heeke; her sons-in-law, Steve Hawkinson and Eddie Neuman; and her siblings, Walter Waechter, Carl Waechter and Freda McVey.

She is survived by: her daughters, Jeanne Lange (Lyndon) of Victoria, Barbara Hawkinson (Steve), Carol O'Donnell (John) of Colorado Springs, Ellen Graham (Gregg) of Monument, Janeece Heeke of Colorado Springs, Janelle Neuman (Eddie) of Las Vegas and Beverly Scott (Kevin) of Monument, Colorado; her daughter-in-law Linda Rahjes (Heeke) of Kensington; and her brother Harold Waechter of Garden City. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
