He was predeceased by: his parents, Arturo Urteaga and Amelia Urteaga (Hernandez); his cousin Tom Sanchez; and his brother Jesse Urteaga. He is survived by: his wife Sherri Urteaga; his children, Kori May Urteaga of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Hector Urteaga (Krystal) of Texas, Victoria Urteaga (Beto) of Garden City, Kansas and Rebecca Alisha Urteaga (Hunter) of Garland, Texas; and his siblings, Lois Oropeza of Lakin, Kansas, Katie (Sal Limon), Gracie (Leo Munoz) and Robert (Mary Urteaga). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
