It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Parks of Lakin, Kansas, who passed away on December 28, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elizabeth Parks to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Bell and Helen Bell (Graber); and her granddaughter Jayme Nelson. She is survived by: her child Jodie (Gary Nelson); her grandchild Gregry (Trisha); her son Jim Parks (Cheryl); her grandchildren, Colter, Jesse Parks, Chase and Brittany; her children, Brennan and Joan Broadfoot (Corey); her granddaughter Hannah; her siblings, Dorothy Shankle, Jane Vanover, Bonnie Bell and Jim (Kristina); her sister-in-law Kristina Bell; and her son Billie Hayden Parks. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Garnand Funeral Homes - Lakin (508 N Main St, Lakin, KS 67860). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Lakin Methodist Church (304 Kansas St, Lakin, KS 67860).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Gideon International (for Gideon Bibles) in care of Garnand Funeral Home, or consider baking a batch of cinnamon rolls, sharing a kind word, or doing something special for someone in need.
