She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Cermit and Ola Kate Green (Rains); her husband Jim Mitchell; and her sister Carolyn Baker. She is survived by: her children, Jan Carrasco (Manuel) of Brownfield and Kay Riedl (Bob) of Lakin, Kansas.; her brother Jim Green (Jeanie) of Dallas, Texas; her grandchildren, Carlen Collins (Laurie), Ella Murph and Danny Carrasco; and her great grandchildren, Kamryn Murph, Bridget Murph, Bentley Collins and Austin Collins.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM and from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Garnand Funeral Homes - Lakin (508 N Main St, Lakin, KS 67860). A graveside service was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Terry County Cemetery of Brownfield, Texas (500 W Main St, Brownfield, TX 79316).
The family suggest memorials to the High Plains Retirement Village in care of Garnand Funeral Home.
