He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Herrman and Mary Herrman (Heronema); his wife Angeline "Angie" Dreher; his daughter Carolyn Shannon (Herrman); and his siblings, Father Gilbert P. Herrman, Leonard Herrman, Edward Herrman, Isabel Basgall, Ruth Risser, Esther Boxler, Irene Raniszewski, Pauline Sutton, Abbie Rupp and Edna Mehl.
He is survived by: his children, Joe Herrman (Deb), Leo Herrman (Vicki), Jim Herrman (Marie), Carl Herrman (Lorna), Thomas Herrman, Marie Holopirek (Rollie) and Ruth Schroter (Jon); his son-in-law Wesley Shannon (Sherleen); and his brother Ralph Herrman. He is also survived by 33 grandchildren; 71 great grandchildren; 27 great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family requests memorials to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Liebenthal, Kansas, or Locust Grove Village, La Crosse, Kansas.
