She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Smith and Catherine Smith (Gentry); her sons, David Smith and Jeremiah "Jeremy" Slemp; and her siblings, Bobbie Smith, Ricky Smith and Sharon Wicklund.
She is survived by: her husband Joseph "Joe" Slemp; her children, Ron Reed (April) and Lacy Quake (Andrew); and her daughter-in-law Ashley Slemp. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and her lifelong friend of 58 years.
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family requests memorials to Rush County Memorial Hospital Intermediate Swing Bed, La Crosse, Kansas.
