She was predeceased by: her parents, John Frederick and Mollie Schmidt (Rein); her brothers, Raymond John Schmidt and Paul Michael Schmidt; her husband Arthur "Kenneth" Almquist; her daughter Sue Ann Almquist; her daughter-in-law Virginia Gail Almquist; her grandson Charlie Dale Almquist; and her nephews, Dennis Schmidt and Donald Schmidt.
She is survived by: her children, Brent Almquist of Clinton, Oklahoma and Diane Albin (Ken) of Austin, Texas; her grandchildren, Clay Almquist of Clinton, Katherine Albin Koch (Quinlan) of Red Wing and Emma Albin of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her great grandchildren, Zayden Almquist of Clinton, Oklahoma and Zianna Almquist of Clinton, Oklahoma; her nephews, Danny Schmidt (Debbie), Greg Schmidt (Dawn) and Gary Schmidt (Karen); and her cousin Dave Wilson (Marietta).
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family request memorials to the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Foundation, Larned, Kansas, or the First Lutheran Church, La Crosse, Kansas.
