She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy Reifschneider and Marie Reifschneider (Holopirek). She is survived by: her husband Rick Schmidt; her children, Scott Schmidt (Anne), Kelly Torrey (Jason) and Kerri Tuzicka (Nate); her grandchildren, Madeleine Schmidt, Leah Torrey, Tyson Torrey, Greyson Tuzicka, Braxton Tuzicka and Hadley Tuzicka; and her brothers, Daryl "PeeWee" Reifschneider and Bruce Reifschneider (Bernie).

In lieu of flowers or plants, the family requests memorials to the Rush County EMTs, or the Bohemian National Cemetery, Timken, Kansas.
