It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Lea (Reichel) Baus of La Crosse, Kansas, who passed away on February 15, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Reichel and Esther Reichel (Foos); her husband Bill; her brothers, Caroll and Arnold Neal; and her great-grandparents, Schwindt and Krug.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Hayes (Ted), Debra Schuckman (Myron) and Mark Baus (Ann); and her grandchildren, Celi Jensby (Matt), Chad Warner (Cissi), Cari Palesano (Jeremy), Casey Warner (Robin), Christopher Schuckman (Katie), Carissa Schuckman (Jordan), Caley Clinkscales (Daniel), Veronica Kimple (Daniel), Leah Johnson (Nick) and Olivia Baus. She is also survived by 21 great grand children and one great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:50 AM. A prayer will be held on Friday, March 7th 2025 at 7:30 PM at the Janousek Funeral Home (719 Pine St, La Crosse, KS 67548). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church (304 Columbia St, La Crosse, KS 67548). A burial will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Peace Lutheran Cemetery - Alexander.
In lieu of flowers or plants, the family request memorials to the First Lutheran Church, La Crosse, Kansas, or the McCracken Public Library, McCracken, Kansas.
