Alverna Jane Schaffer Obituary

She was predeceased by: her father Dan Schuckman; her significant other Francis Schaffer; her mother Rosie Schuckman (Schafer); her siblings, Ilene, Willard and Larry; her sons-in-law, Van Brighton and Mike Bogard; and her grandson Trevor Messenger.
She is survived by: her children, Jan Brighton of La Crosse, KS, Colette Schauf (Burton) of Columbia, MO, Jill Bogard of Lawrence, KS, Rory (Janis) of Topeka, KS, Eric Schaffer of Topeka, KS and Gina Cannon (Warren) of Georgetown, TX; and her siblings, Mary Lou Schaffer, Danelle Peters of La Crosse, KS, Marjorie Schaffer of Wichita, KS and Randy Schuckman of Wilson, KS.. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the St. Michael's Catholic Church (918 Lincoln St, La Crosse, KS 67548). A rosary will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A requiem service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. The inurnment will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at the Crosse City Cemetery.
