It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Terwort of Kiowa, Kansas, born in Walsenburg, Colorado, who passed away on June 19, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Griffith and Mary Ellen Griffith (Hunter); and her siblings, Dick and Maxine. She is survived by: her sister Joan Martin of Wichita; and her children, Carolyn Catlin-Robertson (Don) of Lakin, Tom Terwort (Dewey) of Pratt, Judy Shafer (Randy) of Pond Creek, Jim Terwort (Mary) of Buffalo, Laurie Hiltner (Mike) of Kiowa, Kristi Molz (Ron) of Kiowa and John Terwort (Jamie) of Kiowa. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in June's name to the Kiowa District Hospital, St. John's Catholic Church, or Kiowa General Store through the funeral home.
