He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Newton and Beatrice Wyman Newton; his siblings, Ila Brandt, Ineta Rader, Ida Opperman, Joyce Swart and Lloyd Newton of Bill Newton, C. A; and his granddaughter Lauren Merklein.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Anne; his daughters, Connie (Butch Rooks), Laurie (Rock Shelite), Lisa Newton of Kiowa and Shelly (Mitch Merklein); his siblings, Rose Gillig, Judy Matheny, Clark Newton (Joyce) and Robert Newton; his grandchildren, Robyn Whitaker (Casey), Heather Grabar (Brad), Candi Maddux (Justin), Heath Shelite (Liz), Todd Shelite (Rachel), Holly Rooks, Kali (Joe Faircloth) and Erin Nicholson (David); and his great grandchildren, Trevor Rooks, Cara, Chloe Whitaker, Reese, Peyton Maddux, Mia, Isla, Kate Shelite, Beck, Halle Grabar, Veda Shelite, Baker, Maisie, Jase Faircloth and Baby Nicholson.
