He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry H. Wetzel and Dora Froetschner Wetzel; his son Russell Wetzel; and his sister Kathleen S. Pickard. He is survived by: his close friend Cathy Woolard; his daughter Melanie Wetzel; his granddaughter Jasmine Carias; and his siblings, Leroy (Janet) of Offerle, KS, Steven (Pam) of Offerle, KS and Joanne VanCoevern (Greg) of Salina, KS. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and a large group of friends.
