He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leo Wapelhorst and Wally Orth Wapelhorst; his wife Rita Osner Weniger; his sons, Alan, Denny, Kent and Kevin; his stepchildren, Crystal Boyer and Dustin Weninger; and his siblings, Leo, Tom, Bill, Alice Schoenhofer, Mary Downing, Annette Wapelhorst and Charlie. He was also cherished by 11 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made with St. Jude Children's Hospital in care of Livingston Funeral Home.
