He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Eugene Pinkerton and Pearl Wolfe Pinkerton; and his sisters, Helen and Kay. He is survived by: his children, Jeffrey Pinkerton (Lisa) of Rose Hill, Tamara Henderson (Damon) of League City and Christopher Pinkerton; his grandchildren, Chelsea Pinkerton of Austin, Josey Pinkerton of Rose Hill, Kansas, Taylor Henderson (Tatum) of Austin and Rylee Lauer (A. J.) of Garden Plain; his great grandchildren, Anderson and Aspen; his grandson Christopher Pinkerton (Stacy) of Derby; his great grandchildren, Samuel Pinkerton (Faith) of Wichita, Oliver Pinkerton of Fort Collins, Ethan Pinkerton of Manhattan and Camille Pinkerton of Derby, Kansas; his grandchild Casey Zillner (Joel) of Olathe; his great grandchildren, Charlotte and Olivia; and his sister Marcia. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
