He was predeceased by: his parents, Conrad Fischer and Hilda Fischer (Seiwert); and his siblings, Herman, Elmer, Vince, Norman, Elvira Rinke (Sis), Rosalma Wiley and Burnetta McCreath.

He is survived by: his wife Sally Theis; his children, Andy (Jill) and Lynne Schreiner (Greg); his grandchildren, Kennedy George (Virgil), Augden Fischer, Colby, Alexandra, Collin and Ryan Schreiner; his great grandchild Elaina; and his brother Eugene Fischer. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to St. Patrick Catholic Church.
