He is survived by: his wife Kim Opat of Kechi, KS; his daughter Sarah; his son-in-law Danny Seymour of Ponca City, OK; his son William; his daughter-in-law Kelsi Opat of Springfield, MO; his son Patrick "Pat" Opat; his daughter-in-law Wendy Winkley of Wichita, KS; his daughter Sydney O'Donnell of Wichita, KS; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Evalynn Seymour of Ponca City, OK and Leo Opat of Springfield, MO; and his siblings, Kathy Hawkinson, Cecilia Opat, Kenneth Opat, Chris Opat, Martha Nickel and Kerrick Opat. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
