She was predeceased by: her parents, R. H. Hughson and Peggy Hughson (Grimsley); her husband Sidney S. Smith; her brother Lt. Robert Kay Hughson; her aunt Ruth Smith of Cassville; and her father-in-law William "Bill" Smith of Cassville.
She is survived by: her sons, Rand Smith (Christian Ermer) of Los Angeles and Kirby K. Smith (Kimberley) of Kechi, Kansas; her grandchildren, Veronica Turner (Sean) of Olathe, Elaina Smith (Matt Shoop) of Seattle, Grant Smith (Lindsey) of Wichita and Sidney Smith of Denver; and her great grandchildren, Atticus, Smith Turner, Carter and Gavin Smith.
