As Nancy Jo departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Nancy Jo. Though Nancy Jo may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Lazzo and Kathryn Lazzo (Nick) of Kansas City, Kan.; and her son Andrew Slaughter. She is survived by: her husband John Slaughter; her children, Laurie Arnold (John) of Kansas City, Eric Slaughter (Shelly) of Bonner Springs and Jason Slaughter of Lansing, Kansas.; her siblings-in-law, Robert Slaughter (Barbara) of Matthews, N. C., Patricia Slaughter Antonopoulos of Shawnee, Susan Slaughter Carroll of Shawnee and Janelle Lazzo of Overland Park, Kan.; and her grandson Blake Daniel Slaughter. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (1086 N 94th St, Kansas City, KS 66111). A Mass was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
