With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marlene Joan Larry (Kansas City, Kansas), who passed away on December 29, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Thomas and Mabel Gentry; her husband Richard Larry; her siblings, Thomas Sutton and Carletta Germany; and her grandchildren, Brandon Franklin and Jesseka Goodwin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Cynthia Robins (John), Linda Poole, Beverly Franklin, Richelle Larry, Carolyn Barnett (Cedric), Marilyn Larry, Yolanda Larry and Dionne Tucker. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, thirty three great-grandchildren a host of great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity AME Church (2201 N 5th St, Kansas City, KS 66101). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
