He was predeceased by: his parents, William Carter and Margaret Carter; his sisters, Florence and Glenda Carter; his niece Toni Jarmon; his stepdaughter Kanora Hullaby; and his great grandchild Amaya Tribue.
He is survived by: his children, Tya, Sims (Robert), Kenni Platt, Jeffrey, K. Platt, Donisha and Carter. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Highland Park Funeral Home and Crematory (4101 State Ave, Kansas City, KS 66102). A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Leavenworth National Cemetery (150 Muncie Rd, Leavenworth, KS 66048).
