With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen Sue Shackelford (Kansas City, Kansas), born in Kansas City, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 10, 2024 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Jesse, Myrtle Hutson, Walter and Martha Bradshaw; her parents-in-law, James C and Barbara L Shackelford; and her siblings-in-law, Anna Shackelford and Stacey Joe Shackelford.

She is survived by: her parents, Sylvan Darrell and May Lou Hutson; her husband Nathan B Shackleford; her children, Devin McKernan (Ellen), Mallory Edwards (Michael) and Jesse Shackelford; her brother Darrell Lynn Hutson (Laura); her nephew Darrell Lee Hutson; her niece Haylee Hutson; her siblings-in-law, Kenneth Shackelford (John) and Tammy Shackelford; her close friend Monica Peter; her daughter-in-law Amanda Smith; her cousins, Karen Danner, Andrea Hughes and JT Gava; and also Rachel.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Lenexa United Methodist Church (9138 Caenen Lake Rd, Lenexa, KS 66215). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
