He was predeceased by: his parents, Hosie Johnson and Maggie Johnson (Meeks); and his children, Sean Johnson and Lesley Sanders. He is survived by: his wife Faye Thompson; his children, Emmanuel Sanders of Kansas City, Natanja Johnson of Houston and Bridget Shackleford (Elijah) of Kansas City; and his siblings, Anette Wilson, Joann Ivy of Kansas City, Claudette Roberts of Kansas, Alice Bullock Palmdale of Kansas, Archie Williams (Brenda) of Kansas City and Garrett Williams (Denise) of Des Moines. He is also survived by Nine grandchildren four great grandchildren, a host of nieces nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Thatcher's Funeral Chapel (1520 N 5th St, Kansas City, KS 66101). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at the Leavenworth National Cemetery (150 Muncie Rd, Leavenworth, KS 66048).
