He was predeceased by: his parents, Neal Nowlin and Georgia Nowlin (Norwood); and his siblings, Rita Carswell, Gary Nowlin and Gloria Hayworth.
He is survived by: his wife Caroline Nowlin of Kanopolis; his daughters, Kimberly Doty and Courtney Nowlin; and his siblings, Jack Nowlin, Katie Frederking and Carolyn Brubaker.
