He is survived by: his brother James Simpkins (Yvonne) of Savannah, Georgia; his nieces and nephews, Damonique Murray (Lawrence), Yashieka Goldsmith (Tyronne), James Roe, Yonnick Simpkins and Joshua Simpkins; and his great-nephew Noah James.
