He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary R. Miller Miller, (Oliphant) and Joseph P. Miller, Sr.; and his brother Edsel L. Miller. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca M. Clouse; and his children, Joseph P. Miller III of Chesapeake, Virginia and Jill M. Cavalcanti of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He is also survived by three grandchildren; one nephew; one niece, and two great-nephews.
Dr. Miller sat on the Board of Directors for C.A.S.A., Geary County Chapter of the American Red Cross, Junction City Little Theatre, Junction City Little Theatre Foundation, Junction City Arts Council, and Friends of the Library.
