He was predeceased by: his parents, William Austin (Sunnyboy) and Asoler Austin (McQuiller); his wife Annie R. Strickland-Austin; his children, Carol D. Austin and Clifton E. Austin; and his siblings, James R. Dumas (Kirby), Mae Ola Austin-Purdy and Helen Smith (Dumas).
He is survived by: his children, Shirley Ann Austin, Linda Ray Austin, Clyde L. Austin Jr., Geraldine Austin, Randy Austin, Mark Austin and Avery Austin; his sister Irene Turner (Dumas) of Texas; and his sister-in-law Charlotte N. Dumas of Maryland. He is also survived by stepchildren, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Johnson & Mass-Hinitt Funeral Home (203 N Washington St, Junction City, KS 66441). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
