He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence H. Thompson and Edna Thompson (West); his siblings, Harold, Charles, Jimmy, Chuck Thompson and Thelma Blizzard; his son Mark Thompson; and his grandson Bobby Dodd (Margaret Fisher).
He is survived by: his children, Lori Dodd, Kim Holton of Jacksonville, Florida and Steven Thompson; his brother Paul Thompson of Surprise, Arizona; and his nieces and nephews, Debbi and Jack Freeman of Junction City. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to be given to the Shriners Children's Hospital St. Louis, 4400 Clayton Avenue, St. Louis, MO 63110.
