He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Halbert "Bert" Varney and Edith Varney (Rathbun); his spouses, Dorothy Fobes and Shirley Jacobs-Varney; his son Alan Varney (Linda) of Wheaton; his grandchildren, Joel Varney and Laura Beth Schisler (Jeremiah); his son Jim Varney (Ellen) of Seward Neb; his grandchildren, Leah Johnston (Dale) and Brian Varney (Brie); his daughter Susan Silsby (Cliff) of Auburn; his grandchildren, Jenny Silsby, Mike Silsby (Karla), Angie Brown (Tim) and Liz Stratman (Drew); his daughter Annette Laracuente (Ray) of Harrisburg; his grandchildren, Carmen Chavez (Pradeep) and Raquel Chavez; his stepson Danny Jacobs of Towanda; his children, Jeff Jacobs, Kelsey Coen (Jeremy), Kristen Riley (Josh) and Justin Jacobs (Dominque); his stepdaughter Kathy Wilson (Mark) of Jewell; his children, Cooper Wilson, Dalton Wilson and Josie Wilson; his stepson Bret Jacobs (Karen) of Hutchinson; his children, Lauren Jacobs and Dylan Jacobs; and his siblings, Aubrey and Mary Mergen (Don). He was also cherished by 23 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
