She was predeceased by: her parents, George Henry Herman and Leona "Ruth" Harms (Harms); her husband Lyle C. Salmans; and her brothers, Darrel Harms, Gordon Harms and Dean Harms.

She is survived by: her children, Bruce Salmans (Gina), Duane Salmans (Kaylin), Lyla Lonnberg (Kurt) and Sara Burke (Justin). She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren.
