He was predeceased by: his parents, John William and Lucille Irene Nelson (McFadden); his wife Barbara A. Nelson; his sisters, Ruth Rosser and Mabel Piley; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Camac, Harvey Piley, Gordon Rosser II and John "Bud" Camac. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and other family members and friends.
