She was predeceased by: her parents, Archie Saferite and Olga Cole; her son Matt Michael; and her sister-in-law Barb Stevenson. She is survived by: her husband Bruce Michael; her sons, Derek Michael (Lisa) and Cody Michael; her grandchildren, Briggs and Brock Michael; and her siblings, Larry Stevenson, Carla Potts (Daryl), Phyllis Nelson (Kenny) and Debi Hoffmeier (David). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, friends.

A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar Wesley United Methodist Church (301 E Madison Ave, Iola, KS 66749). A burial was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 2:15 PM to 2:30 PM.

Memorials are suggested to the Carlyle Presbyterian Church and may be left in the care of Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.
