He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Stahl and Ellen Stahl (Pidgeon); and his daughter Cynthia. He is survived by: his children, Michael, Martha and Catherine; his friend Ted; his mothers-in-law, Wilena Arnold and Nadine Baker; his stepson Jim Sager; his sister Jeri (Jack); his wife Norma Sager Stahl; his brother Bob Stahl (Connie); his son Ted Stahl (Joyce); his granddaughter Debbie Sneed; his great grandchildren, Mike Stahl and Martha Stahl; his stepchildren, Pam Sager (Mike Schmitt), Debbie Sager, Jerry Sager, John Sager and Jeff Sager (Flora); his former wife Jean; and also, Jimmie, Catherine Scheuber (Rick), Edward Stahl (Ann), Tom Stahl (Tami) and Joe Stahl. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 13 step-grandchildren, seven step-great-grandchildren.

Memorials are suggested to either St. John Catholic Church (Iola) or St. Joseph Catholic Church (Yates Center), and may be left with Feuerborn Family Funeral Service, 1883 US Highway 54, Iola, Kansas.
