She is survived by: her daughters, Olivia Rose and Karri Haen Whitmer; her grandchildren, Chris, Olivia Rose, Lily Delphine and Ethan Christopher Whitmer of Ames; her brother Matt White; and her sister-in-law Bobbey White.
By the time the pandemic ensued, she was in and out of clinics and hospitals, often driving by herself to Kansas City for consultations and treatments.
