We are sad to announce that on January 21, 2022, at the age of 74, Jim Tarter of Iola, Kansas, born in Fredonia, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Enos Van and Edna Lavonne Tarter; his sister Shirley Shultz; his grandson Bryson Byerley of Pleasanton; and the mother of his children Betty Tarter.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce; his siblings, Billy Tarter of Lawrence, Barbara Williams of Lawrence, Larry Tarter, Debbie and Larry Brutchin of Iola; and his children, Jason (Jennifer Tarter), Misty (Bill Fleming), Wendy (Teague Byerley), Ronnie (Janell Yelm) and Kim (Chris Clay). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
