She was predeceased by: her parents, James Minkler and Rosa Minkler (Shaw); her husband Emmet Nelson; and her siblings, Milburn Minkler and Pearline Stephens.
She is survived by: her sons, Emmet Nelson of Grove, Elvin Nelson (Earline) of Iola and Elbert Nelson of Iola, Kansas; and her close friend Bonnie Johnson. She is also survived by six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions in honor of Floy are suggested to the American Cancer Society and may be left with the funeral home.
