It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steve Showalter of Inman, Kansas, born in Hutchinson, Kansas, who passed away on December 26, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Dale and Blanche Irene Showalter (Yoder); and his grandsons, Blake Showalter and Joseph McCray. He is survived by: his children, Matthew Showalter of Hutchinson, Michelle McCray (Damon) of Inman, Sean Smith of Hutchinson, Amber Knowles of Hutchinson and Stephanie Ukele (Jason) of Salina; and his siblings, Pat Willems (Dennis) of Hutchinson, John Showalter (Lana) of Hutchinson, Jim Showalter (Carol) of Hutchinson and Cindy Martens (Eldon) of Inman. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many extended family.
