He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob P. Franz and Anna L. Franz (Regier); his wife Lovella Fern Franz; his brothers, Delbert Franz (Esther), Norman Franz and Milburn Franz (Valeta); and his nephews, Merle Franz and Byron Franz.
He is survived by: his sons, Brad Franz (Teresa) of Inman and Doug Franz (Bonnie) of Buhler; his grandchildren, Michelle Lillard (Steven) of Olathe, Jenny Franz of Overland Park, Julie Mathias (Tim) of Hutchinson, Stephanie Isaacson (Brendan) of Buhler and Brian Franz of Buhler; his great grandchildren, Chase Franz-Miller, Jake, Jensen Mathias, Ellie and Emmie Isaacson; and his sister-in-law Carol Franz of Atglen, PA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
