It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Teresa Ilene (Bly) Bell of Independence, Kansas, born in Oswego, Kansas, who passed away on June 28, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Bly and Melvena Bly (Hummer); her stepfather Ernie Hazen; and her brother Marcel Bly (Cheryl Bly). She is survived by: her husband Mike; her daughter Brittany Barrett (Austin); her grandchild J'Nay; and her sisters, Lecieta Taylor (Theron) of Catoosa, OK and Sue Youngberg (Butch) of Houston, TX. She is also survived by 6 nieces and nephews, 9 great great-nieces and nephews, and many family friends.

Memorialsmay be made to AWOL, the Independence Public Library or the First Christian Church and be left with the Chapel.Teresa was born May 7, 1952 in Oswego, Kansas to Ed and Melvena (Hummer) Bly.
