Nelson (Independence, Kansas), born in Cherryvale, Kansas, who passed away on February 23, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his daughter Carolyn Sue Stone; and his grandson Michael Whistler. He is survived by: his children, John Franklin Nelson, Norma J. Ward of Wichita, Gwendolyn K. Clark of Herrington and Pat Baker of Paola; his grandchildren, Aaron Malott, Natasha Malott, Allen Tweat, Allie Clark and Robert Whistler; his great grandchildren, Katelyn Tweat, Lacy McElroy, Damion Tweat, Adriana Malott, Madyson Clark, Jackson Clark and Sophia Clark; and also Oda Gladys Thomas White. He is also survived by his parents, eight brothers, six sisters.
