With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lavonne Altendorf of Independence, Kansas, who passed away on August 20, 2020. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Willard and Gertrude Willard; her husband Dr. James J. Altendorf; and her son Joseph N. Altendorf. She is survived by: her children, Janet K. Myers Joplin (Douglas) and Stanley J. Altendorf (Michelle); and her sisters, La Verne Cooley (Robert) and Karen Bowen Wichita (Jim). She is also survived by eight grand children, eight great grand children.
